The Om Chaitanya Foundation established Shri. J.R.Gunjal English Medium School in the year 2001.The school is stepping successfully towards seventh year. The school is recognized  by Government of Maharashtra.

The school started functioning on 2^nd July,2001,with 60 students. During the last six years, the school has taken giant strides and become the most sought after school in and around Alephata. The students spread over 14 classes from Nursery to Class VI. From this academic year, 2008 Std. VII  is added, as a natural growth and this school will go up till X Std in subsequent years.This year total strength of student is 405.This year out of 11 students 10 students passed Scholarship Exam in Fourth Std. The Percentage of passing is 99.00%
